Jet2 is understood to be planning to launch several new routes for summer 2026 this week, including new destinations from airports in Scotland and the northeast.

It will offer additional summer routes from Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh, according to UK airline scheduled analyst ‘Sean M’, who posts regular flight updates on X/Twitter.

From Newcastle in summer 2026, there will be new weekly flights to Agadir in Morocco from 29 March, weekly flights to Barcelona from 21 May, a new twice-weekly service to Porto in Portugal, starting on 22 May, and a new weekly service to Preveza in Greece from 27 May, they said.

From Edinburgh, Jet2 is planning to add two new destinations in Greece, along with a new service to Girona in Spain from May 2026.

It will add flights to Kefalonia on 3 May and Kalamata on 6 May, while Girona flights will start on 3 May. All services will be weekly.

Jet2 is also planning to launch a new route from Glasgow to Dubrovnik on 1 May 2026, according to Sean M.

They also reported that the airline will boost its Christmas Markets programme with flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to Cologne during November and December 2025.

Jet2 declined to confirm the new routes but indicated an announcement about its summer ’26 programme will be made later this week.
