Jet2 is warning customers that industrial action is taking place across Italy today, potentially affecting public and private transport.
The airline urged passengers to leave enough time to travel to the airport as it is planning to operate all its flights on time.
It said that for customers who have booked transfers, pick up times are unaffected.
The national strike it expected to affect train services across Italy until 9pm this evening.
However, some long distance trains are guaranteed to run and regional trains are expected to operate during peak hours, including from 6-9pm this evening.
Other trains might be cancelled, warned the main train operator, Trenitalia.
