Jet2holidays has cut all summer holiday prices, plus it is offering a further £60 per person off May and June departures booked with a travel agent.

The discount for agent bookings is £10 per person more than being offered to customers who book online, but direct customers who sign up for a free myJet2 account will also get a £60 per person discount.

Jet2holidays said there is no cut-off date for the additional discount on late bookings.

Director of Agent Relationships Alan Cross said: “We are gearing up to the biggest summer in our history, and we want to ramp up the excitement by giving holidaymakers the chance to book their place in the sun via an independent travel agent for even less.

“Based on bookings, it is very clear that people have had enough of the rain, wind and cold, and they want to swap that for some much-needed sunshine. With millions of people wanting to get away this summer, our award-winning trade team is focused on driving our Partners2Success strategy so that we can take advantage of every opportunity to drive sales via our independent travel agency partners.”

In its trading update last month, Jet2 admitted that it had seen more competitive prices for spring departures.

In addition, it said the percentage of customers booking cheaper flight only deals had increased compared to those booking package holidays.

By late April, it had 45% of its 7.7 million seats on flights this summer left to sell.
