JG Travel Group has expanded its programme of breaks to Scotland, with the addition of a new ‘Voyage of the Vikings’ tour and extra departure dates on two existing packages.
The newly launched six-day ‘Voyage of the Vikings’ is a Scottish adventure exploring the Shetland Islands and their Viking heritage.
Highlights include a day exploring the second largest island of Yell and the most northernly inhabited island of Unst, which has the world’s largest concentration of Viking longhouses. There is also a full day exploring the main island of Shetland with visits to Scalloway, Jarlshof, Sumburgh and Lerwick.
Prices start at £949 per person departing 19 September and 3 October 2024 and includes return coach travel, two full days exploring the Shetland isles, visits to Loch Lomond and Edinburgh, five nights’ half-board accommodation, of which two are overnight ferries, and various excursions.
The group has also doubled the number of departures for its ‘Great Scottish Highland Railways’ coach breaks, after the original four dates sold out.
More capacity has also been added to the ‘Hebridean Adventure’ eight-day tour by air. Initially two dates were put on sale but three more have been added in response to demand, one each in August, September and October.
All tours can be booked by agents through Just Go! Holidays or National Holidays.
