Travellers to Kenya will no longer require a visa to enter the country from January 2024, it has been confirmed.
The country’s President William Ruto announced this week that instead of having to apply for a visa, from next year visitors will receive an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) in advance.
Details of the ETA are still to be announced but will be applicable to all nationalities.
It was reported by Reuters that President Ruto said: “It shall no longer be necessary for any person from any corner of the globe to carry the burden of applying for a visa to come to Kenya.”
