Kirker has expanded its 2024 programme with the addition of new cultural tours and music holidays, including a UK opera festival and Christmas on the Cote d’Azur.

Options include a three-night ‘Grange Festival’ in Winchester, departing 19 June, taking in two operas: Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea and Puccini’s Tosca; a guided tour of the city and visit to Hinton Ampner, which has one of the finest gardens in Hampshire. Prices start at £1,695 per person including most meals, and entry fees.

Also in the programme is a five-night ‘American Ballet Theatre’ tour in New York, combining a visit to the Crafting the Ballets Russes exhibition and performances of Swan Lake and Romeo & Juliet by The American Ballet Theatre at The Met, as well as visits to MoMA and The Whitney, with accommodation at the boutique hotel The Wallace on the Upper West Side. Prices start at £4,369pp, including flights, accommodation, two dinners at The Met’s Grand Tier restaurant, theatre tickets, sightseeing and entry fees.

Alternatively, clients can book ‘Christmas on the Cote d’Azur’, staying at the iconic five-star Hotel Negresco. Included in the price are visits to museums and galleries; Christmas Eve dinner in the hotel’s Royal Salon; Christmas Day lunch at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, and Boxing Day lunch at La Colombe d’Or, St Paul-de-Vence, where guests can admire works by artists including Matisse, Picasso, Braque and Chagall. Prices start from £3,789pp.

The programme also includes a three-night jazz festival in London in August, from £1,598pp, a five-night ‘Baroque Opera’ tour in Sweden, from £2,678, also in August and a seven-night ‘Astronomy and Volcanoes’ holiday in La Palma and Tenerife in November, from £3,387pp.

Managing Director Ted Wake said: “We are committed to an absolutely thriving, independent travel community. In an age where mass-market muscle calls the shots, the richness of one’s holiday experience is, all too often, watered down via a one-size-fits-all approach.

“At Kirker, we remain devoted to producing beautiful brochures, confident in the undying appeal of browsing; we also continue to trust that conversations with our expert human beings offer the best and most bespoke way for our clients to book.”
