Latin Routes has added holidays to Mexico, its third Central American destination.

The Latin American holiday specialist said it was boosting the number of destinations it offers due to increased demand from travel agents and hopes to offer the rest of Central America by the end of the year.

The operator also currently offers Costa Rica and Panama in Central America.

It is offering six itineraries in Mexico including a Mezcal to Mole trip, which is priced from £5,899 per person.

Prices for the 17-day itinerary include international flights, 15 nights’ accommodation, three guided street food tours, mezcal tasting in Oaxaca, a Mexico City tour and wine tasting, a tequila tasting and all private car transfers.

Senior Product Manager Cat Davies said the other Mexico itineraries would ‘cover the classic highlights of the country plus offer more immersive and in-depth experiences’.

She added: “[Mexico] is a diverse country with lots to offer every type of traveller.

“Our programme will focus on tailormade touring to get right under the skin of this amazing destination and allow our clients to really experience its culture and landscapes.”

Senior Marketing Manager Felipe Francisco said Mexico was ‘a natural fit for UK travellers’, adding: “We are really looking forward to working closely with our partners to showcase this exciting destination.”
