Passengers on Marella Cruises will experience faster internet when the line rolls out new technology across its fleet.
Marella has partnered with satellite communications and IT provider Speedcast to introduce Low Earth Orbit (LEO) technology on its ships, which will provide high-speed, low-latency [minimal delay] internet access.
Marella Managing Director Chris Hackney said: “This is another step forward in terms of innovation for Marella Cruises. With this new partnership with Speedcast, it will provide low latency internet across the fleet, not only enhancing the customer experience onboard, but also improving the connectivity for crew onboard the ships as well.”
The cruise line hasn’t said when the technology will be rolled out.
