Marella has announced the return of its themed cruise, Electric Sunsets 90s vs 00s, for November 2025 and the launch of its first country music cruise, Country Rhythms in February 2026.
Both themed cruises will be available on sale from the 14 November 2024.
Electric Sunsets is back for its fifth year with a three-night adult-only cruise on Marella Voyager featuring bands including Irish pop group B*Witched, UK R&B pop group The Honeyz, DJ SASH! and Ibiza in Symphony, a 10-piece orchestra.
More acts will be announced next year.
The cruise sails from Palma on 4 November, calling at Valencia and Cartagena, and finishes in Malaga.
Country Rhythms will take place on Marella Explorer 2, featuring The Dolly Show with a Dolly Parton impersonator, line dance classes, a new country-themed production show onboard and best-dressed competition. More acts will be announced later.
There will be two departures of the Country Rhythms cruise, a four-night from 5 February 2026 from Malaga, travelling to Gibraltar, Arrecife in Lanzarote and finishing in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and a five-night, also departing on 5 February from Malaga, travelling to Gibraltar, Arrecife, Las Palmas and ending in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Marella Cruises Managing Director Chris Hackney said: “Thanks to our recent market research, we believe these tailored themed cruises connected to country music and 90s/00s will encourage those who are new to cruising to consider Marella Cruises for their future holidays.
“These themed cruises will also offer returning customers a refreshing alternative to our regular Mediterranean sailings, adding a unique experience to their journey.”
