Local authorities have indicated that a wildfire in Tangier in northern Morocco has been brought under control.
The fire, in the Cap Spartel Forest, had sparked a travel warning from the Foreign Office on Friday.
However, the Head of the National Center for Forest Climate Risk Management Fouad Assali said it had been ‘85% contained’.
The fire had first been reported in the early evening on Thursday, and quickly spread due to strong winds, destroying around 40 hectares of forest.
No human casualties have been reported.
