MSC Cruises will base MSC Opera in the Canary Islands this winter, from where it will operate seven-night sailings to six ports of call.

The ship will offer roundtrip cruises from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, calling at Las Palmas, Fuerteventura, Funchal in Madeira, La Palma and Lanzarote from 3 November 2024 to 16 March 2025.

The new cruises will replace MSC Opera’s planned Red Sea programme, which was cancelled due to tensions in the region.

The new itinerary offers flexible embarkation options, including Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Sundays, Las Palmas on Mondays, Madeira for Funchal on Thursdays or Fridays and Arrecife on Saturdays.

It also includes up to 16 hours in some of the ports of call.

Vice President of International Sales Antonio Paradiso said: “At MSC Cruises we listen to what our customers want and we know that Brits love to escape harsh winters and get some much-needed winter sun.

“That’s why we are offering this new itinerary in the Canary Islands for winter 2024-25 onboard the stylish MSC Opera. We know this sailing will be popular amongst all European guests, especially those from the UK and Ireland.”
