MSC Cruises has cancelled the winter programmes of both MSC Orchestra and MSC Sinfonia due to the ongoing tensions between Israel and Gaza.

Red Sea cruises on MSC Orchestra, which were due to take place from 8 November 2023 and 17 April 2024 have been axed.

MSC said it had taken the decision not to operate the cruises because of the proximity of some of ports of call to Israel.

The cruise line said the number of restrictions in the bordering countries would have also ‘adversely affected the holiday experience for passengers’.

It has also cancelled MSC Sinfonia’s programme from 12 November 2023 to 15 April 2024 as the highlight of the itinerary was Haifa in Israel.

The cruise line has also made changes to itineraries of the grand voyages for MSC Virtuosa, MSC Opera and MSC Splendida and to two 11-night sailings for MSC Armonia.

Passengers affected by the changes can move their cruise to an alternative ship or request a full refund.
