A former TUI call centre Sales Advisor has launched a new homeworking group, called Your Travel Consultant.
Director Simon Clark-Jones launched the business at the weekend, combining his travel sales experience with knowledge gained working in the tech industry.
Your Travel Consultant is part of Protected Trust Services, pays 80% commission, has no sales targets and has developed its own CRM system and booking platform.
Simon said: “I worked at TUI’s Stockton-on-Tees call centre in the mid-2000s, as a Sales Advisor within Holiday Hypermarket, then moved into technology, specialising in software development, automation, and AI.
“I saw a need for a consortium that provides comprehensive personalised support, cutting-edge tools, and genuine partnership, and I’m passionate about fulfilling that need. We’re not just another agency that provides e-learning courses and then leaves agents to fend for themselves. All our training is delivered live, giving the opportunity to ask questions and receive the support agents need.
“We’re eager to welcome both seasoned homeworkers and newcomers.”
New intakes join in stages, with 10 members signing up already and the next intake is ‘fast filling up’ since Saturday.
“Many agents are approaching us from other homeworking setups having seen our countdown to launch, and we also have a few that are totally new to the travel industry,” Simon added.
“What is great to see is that we can group together different cohorts of trainees based on their experience and we have the ability to spend time with those that need that extra support and guidance. We will be introducing a mentor/buddying system over the coming weeks to enable those with more experience to partner with newer agents with a combined vision to succeed as well as everyone receiving full support and guidance from Your Travel Consultant.”
For people joining before 31 December, there is no set-up fee and the monthly payment will be discounted to £60 for the duration of their membership. For anyone joining after 31 December, the set-up fee will be £197 and the monthly fee will be £80.
