Newmarket Holidays has launched an 11-day Silk Road tour to introduce guests to Uzbekistan.
The escorted tour will launch this October and will operate on various dates to November 2025.
The itinerary, ‘Uzbekistan – Ancient Cities of the Silk Road’, starts in the capital, Tashkent, taking in the city’s Islamic heritage, before heading to the new town’s modern attractions and monuments.
Other highlights on the tour include visits to UNESCO-listed town Itchan Kala, the red desert of Kyzyl-Kum, Bukhara, the city of Samarkand, and Ak-Saray Palace, the birthplace of the Timurid empire, Amir Timur.
