Norse Atlantic will launch four flights a week from London Gatwick to Miami this winter, but it will drop its service to Fort Lauderdale.

The Miami service will start on 18 September with fares from £450 return.

At the same time, the airline will stop flying from Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale.

It said passengers booked on its FL flights after 17 September will be re-booked on to the Miami service or offered a refund.

“We are pleased to be able to now offer the popular destination of Miami as part of our winter route network. Miami has high levels of passenger demand with both direct and connecting traffic volumes greater than other airports in the region,” said CEO Bjorn Tore Larsen.

“We look forward to being able to offer our cargo customers increased choice and flexibility as we begin operations from our new South Florida base in September.”
