One of the benefits of being an ABTA member is the invaluable operational guidance we offer you to help you run your business. Whether it’s destination health, safety, and security advice, transport guidance or destination operational information, we have a range of tools to keep you informed and educated on these topics.

Our Operational Bulletins service helps you manage immediate challenges in destination, providing a regular update on vital operational issues. You can sign up for that service here.

Working with our members, destination governments, tourist boards and industry experts, our Destinations team produce a number of publications, and guidance documents which are free for members, offering insight and advice in many different areas to support your business.

We recently launched our Demystifying Destination Health & Safety Management Guide which helps members to understand your health and safety responsibilities and assist in the planning and implementation of a safety management system that works for your business model. We also have our Tourism Accommodation Health & Safety Technical Guide known as the ‘ABTA Blue Book’. This publication, available in eight languages, offers a wealth of advice and information for members to share with your overseas suppliers, and is used to support health and safety in destinations for the benefit of travellers, tourism accommodation staff and local people. Details of the publication’s guides can be found here.

Not only can you find lots of operational support for your business on our website, but we host a wide range of ABTA events and training throughout the year. Our Destination Crisis Management and Operational Response for Travel training day took place this week and brought together experts from the FCDO, NaTHNaC, destinations, operators and others to share latest information and advice in this crucial area.
