Online Travel Training founder and Managing Director Julia Feuell is understood to be discussing selling the ailing travel training business to an interested third party.

OTT shocked the industry when it suddenly announced it had ceased trading last week, telling clients in an out-of-office email message that it had brought in rescue and insolvency firm McTear Williams and Wood.

However, Travel Gossip has since seen an email from Julia stating that she has ‘shaken hands’ on a deal to rescue OTT from the administrators.

She said the deal will be signed ‘early’ this week.

The email goes on: “The new owners will be taking over the existing company entirely – including staff and all creditor liabilities.

“As you can imagine I am working hard to get them all the information they need to get the deal signed.”

Julia said the sale would enable OTT to offer the industry ‘even more relevant services’, adding: “The deal will ensure OTT thrives into a growth phase sooner than I could have enabled this.”

It is understood OTT is continuing to hire Head of Global Partnerships Angelica Diaz-Arnett, Head of Training and Commercial Kenny Smith and Head of Account Management Nida Kapadia, who are planning to attend WTM in London with Julia this week.

Travel Gossip has approached Julia and McTear Williams and Wood for a comment.
