With its elegant rooms, plush Italian furnishings, stylish roof top bars and choice of incredible restaurants, the new Palazzo Cordusio is already known as one of the most prestigious places to stay in Milan.

Combing historic Italian architecture with the warmest Spanish service, Gran Melia’s first hotel in the fashion capital of the world is the obvious choice for guests who love the finer things in life.

Located just 300 metres from the magnificent Duomo Cathedral, this former 18th century palace, which opened its doors earlier this year, has been transformed into a modern, luxurious haven.

The 84 rooms, including 29 suites, have been meticulously designed to feel like a contemporary Venetian palace, where modern Milanese furniture is juxtaposed with exotic fabrics from Rubelli, reminiscent of the palazzos of Venice.

Guests and visitors also have the choice of not one but two incredible restaurants, one Japanese and the other authentic Italian.

Sachi, its Japanese restaurant, has indoor dining and a rooftop terrace, Sachi Garden, overlooking the Duomo spires. It also features an Omakase counter to savour the creations of Chef Moon Kyung Soo.

Isola, which has an open terrace with breathtaking views of the Duomo Cathedral and Piazza Mercanti, serves menus created by Chef Francesco Bagnato and inspired by the southern islands of Italy.

Additionally, there’s an artisanal pastry shop, and an elegant Italian cocktail bar set within an internal courtyard, created in partnership with award-winning consultant barman Giancarlo Mancino.

Guests who would like some time out can relax in a dreamy spa, which has a delightful indoor pool and an intimate wellness area, or work out in the on-site gym.
