Fred Holidays has been re-appointed as general sales agent for Asia-based Pandaw Cruises, which ceased trading in late 2021 due to the pandemic.

At the time, the cruise line was unable to continue operating due to a lack of funds caused by the closure of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and India, and the political situation in Myanmar.

Its fleet of 17 small luxury ships has since resumed expeditions on the Mekong, the Irrawaddy, the Chindwin and the Ganges.

Fred Olsen said it will work with Pandaw on a targeted sales and marketing campaign ‘aimed at building the business and driving gains in revenue and market share’.

In a statement, it said: “Effective immediately, the team at Fred Holidays are available to take Pandaw bookings and help with any queries.”

A new agent portal will be launched in the next few weeks, which will include product searches to give a quick view of top offers, marketing support, dedicated training and information areas for GSA partners and details of agent incentives.

New for 2023 are exclusive land and river tours in partnership with Fred Holidays, which include return flights from the UK plus pre- and post-cruise land excursions.
