A man has been arrested after a camera was found hidden in a public toilet on a Royal Caribbean ship.

The passenger, Jeremy Froias, was arrested last week in Puerto Rico, charged with video voyeurism and attempted possession of child exploitation material.

He had been sailing on a seven-day Caribbean cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas.

It is alleged he hid a wi-fi camera in a public toilet on the ship’s top deck on 30 April.

It was spotted the following day by another passenger, according to court documents.

After ship security seized the camera, they found several hours of video. More than 150 people, including at least 40 children, were filmed by the hidden camera in various states of undress, according to reports.

The film also allegedly included a clip of Froias hiding the camera and aiming it towards the toilet.

A Royal Caribbean spokesman said: “The matter was immediately reported to local and federal law enforcement, and the guest involved was removed from the ship by authorities for further investigation.”
