Fred. Holidays has appointed Paul Mellon as Business Development Manager.
Paul, who was previously Riviera Travel Key Account Manager, will take up the new role from 12 February. He has also held roles at The Holiday Team, Funway Holidays, Western & Oriental and Wendy Wu Tours.
Paul will focus on supporting the company’s GSA river cruise partners as well as looking at new business opportunities and increasing brand awareness.
He will report to Head of Business Development Laura Wilson and will work alongside Product Manager Andy Hawke and Relationship Executive Brooke Dunn.
Paul said: “I’m excited to be joining Fred. Holidays, not only because it’s a new and challenging role but it has a great company culture too. I am confident that my previous experience with river cruising and escorted tours will prove valuable in helping me achieve my targets and grow awareness of the business.”
Fred. Holidays Director of Tour Operations Tricia Birmingham added: “We are delighted to welcome Paul who is highly respected and skilled.
