Two planes have collided on the ground at Majorca’s Palma airport, forcing one flight to be delayed and the other has been cancelled.

The incident occurred at around 9:00 this morning and involved a Condor Boeing 757 and an Air Europa Boeing 737, both of which were preparing to depart.

Local media reported that an Air Europa wing broke off during the collision, which happened as the two aircraft were manoeuvring on the ground.

The Condor flight to Frankfurt has been delayed until late this afternoon, while it is understood that the Air Europa flight to Barcelona has been cancelled.

There are no reports of any injuries and several emergency teams have been sent to the incident. The AENA is investigating.
