President of Cosmos and Avalon parent Globus Group has died

Globus Group has confirmed that its President, Sergio Mantegazza has died.

The Swiss-Italian businessman passed away on 13 February, at the age of 96.

The company added that a funeral has already been held for Sergio, who was the son of Globus founder Antonio Mantegazza.

It said: “Mr Mantegazza was an inspirational and visionary leader who paved the way for the Globus and Cosmos product innovation, market expansion and volume growth over three generations.

“He will forever remain in our hearts, and an unforgettable part of the Globus family of brands.”

His son, Fabio Mantegazza, took over many of his shareholder responsibilities some time ago, added the company.
