Princess Cruises has blamed ongoing technical repairs for the cancellation of a second cruise on Regal Princess.
The seven-night Western Caribbean cruise was due to depart from Galveston, Texas on 3 November, but guests have been told it will not be going ahead.
Princess had also cancelled last week’s cruise on the 3,600-passenger Regal Princess, which was due to depart on 27 October.
In a statement, Princess Cruises said: “Due to ongoing technical repairs, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the November 3 sailing of Regal Princess from Galveston.
“We understand how disappointing this is for our guests and are truly sorry for the disruption to their plans. We are providing full refunds along with a 25% Future Cruise Credit as a gesture of goodwill.”
The cruise line added that it was ‘optimistic’ the repairs will be completed ‘soon’ and it said it ‘fully expects’ Regal’s 10 November cruise to depart as scheduled.
The ship’s technical issues are reported to have begun during its 33-day transatlantic crossing from Europe to the US.
