Railbookers has launched an 80-day round-the-world trip, which includes seven iconic train journeys.

Following on from its popular 56-night round-the-world trip in 2019, the new ‘Around The World by Luxury Train’ itinerary will explore four continents and 13 countries, and includes stays at a host of five-star properties on the way.

Luxury accommodation includes Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul and the Taj palace in Mumbai.

Heading first across the Rocky Mountains, travellers will visit Budapest, Edinburgh, Florence, London, Paris, Rome and Venice, with air connections allowing calls in Delhi, Mumbai and Istanbul in Asia, as well as Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa.

The itinerary features Canada’s Rocky Mountaineer, Belmond Royal Scotsman and the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. the Maharajas’ Express in India, the Golden Eagle Danube Express, Rovos Rail in South Africa and Singapore’s Eastern & Oriental Express.

“As we’ve seen a trend to combine itineraries to include multiple luxury trains, we’ve tailor-made this itinerary along with smaller, customizable itineraries featuring these iconic trains as a highlight of our industry-leading luxury rail collection,” said Railbookers President and CEO Frank Marini.

“Best of all, once the train ride is through, Railbookers takes care of hotel, sightseeing, transfers and more at the destination for a complete one-call solution.”

Each leg of the journey can be booked as an individual luxury package, while the whole 11-week itinerary leads in at £90,099 per person excluding flights from the departure and finishing points.
