The charity Reuben’s Retreat was among good causes featured in the BBC Children In Need programme on Friday night.
The charity offers support for families who have lost children and for families of children living with medical complexities.
Children In Need showed a short film about 13-year-old Tehyah and her family, who use the Reuben’s Retreat centre in the Peak District to take part in organised activities and make precious memories together.
Reuben’s Retreat was set up in 2012, by former Red Sea Holidays Trade Relations Manager Nicola Graham, two days after the death of her toddler Reuben, who died from a rare and aggressive brain tumour.
Among fundraisers for this year’s Children In Need was BBC Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay, who raised £4.1 million during a four-day ultra-marathon in which he covered 116 miles from Leicester to Bolton.
Vernon (pictured above, left) is a long-time supporter of Reuben’s Retreat, and Nicola (pictured above, right) went to support him as he neared the end of his mammoth task.
