Ryanair faces more claims from staff about inappropriate behaviour in the workplace after sacking chief pilot Aidan Murray.
The 58-year-old was fired on Tuesday evening following a two-week investigation into alleged breaches of Ryanair’s anti-harassment policies and female colleagues were offered counselling, according to the Telegraph.
Since his sacking, a new group – called Justice For Ryanair Crew – has emerged, claiming to represent whistleblowers at the Dublin-based airline, The Sun reports.
The newspaper said the group claims one pilot sent women intimate pictures, while another received sex acts from co-workers in the cockpit.
Ryanair is Europe’s biggest airline and at the end of March last year it employed 5,860 pilots.
In a statement, issued to The Sun, the airline said: “Ryanair has a zero-tolerance policy in relation to any form of sexual misconduct in the workplace.
“We have now had sight of an anonymous email sent to The Sun containing unsubstantiated claims.
“We confirm we have separately written to the anonymous sender seeking details which would allow us to investigate these claims.”
