EasyJet has launched a postal service to Father Christmas.
Children can send their letters to Santa at special post-boxes at UK airports and local schools, safe in the knowledge that their post will be hand-delivered by easyJet staff to the man himself.
The service will ensure children’s letters reach Rovaniemi, Finland – also known as the Official Hometown of Santa Claus – via easyJet flights.
Among the staff who will deliver these letters from easyJet’s unmistakeable orange post boxes is pilot Hannah Wells.
“Christmas is a magical time for families and travelling somewhere festive, for some winter sun, or to see friends and family can make it really special,” she said.
“We hope our Letters to Santa postal service will bring some extra magic to the thousands of families travelling with us around the holidays and to schools in our local airport communities, where our fantastic cabin crew will be making sure that even more wishes are hand delivered to Santa in time for Christmas.”
This winter, easyJet will operate more trips to Lapland than ever before. Flights from Bristol, London Gatwick, London Luton, Edinburgh and Manchester to Rovaniemi will operate four times a week, while two flights a week will operate from Gatwick and Manchester to Kittila.
According to an easyJet survey of 2,000 British parents and children, 71% of kids fear that Santa will fail to find them and deliver their presents if they spend Christmas Eve abroad.
