Cabin crew at Scandinavian airline SAS have gone on strike in Norway after pay talks broke down overnight.

The airline, which has one of its three major hubs at Oslo, said the walk-out by 120 cabin crew will disrupt only ‘a limited number’ of flights.

However, two labour unions representing a total of more than 800 SAS cabin crew in Norway warned more could join the strike in the coming days.

In a statement, SAS said: “Our priority right now is to minimise disruptions to our traffic programme and support our customers with rebookings and information.”
