Escorted coach tour company Shearings has introduced a single room search on its website, while also increasing the number of Solo Traveller holidays.
The ‘find single rooms’ search function on its website will make it easier for agents to locate rooms for solo travellers in around 250 hotels and to check which tours have availability, it said.
The total price with the single room supplement is display, including a breakdown of the supplement charged.
Single room supplements start from £39 for a four-day UK short break, or £69 for a four-day European trip.
Shearings has also added five new Solo Traveller collection tours, which have no single room supplements.
Priced from £549 per person for a five-day Yorkshire tour, the collection features a total of 13 tours to a range of destinations, including Scotland, Yorkshire, Northumberland, the Lake District, the English Riviera, Ireland, Italy, Croatia and France.
