Independent operator Simpson Travel has announced a new investment partner and key senior appointments as part of expansion plans.
Risk Capital Partners (RCP) has been brought on board to help the company’s growth strategy of expanding its range of European destinations with exclusive new properties to add to its portfolios in Greece, Turkey, Corsica, France, Italy and Majorca.
Former Hotelplan UK CEO Paul Carter has joined as Chairman, while Operations Director Ed Pyke has become Managing Director.
Founder Graham Simpson (pictured) will remain as an advisor to the Board, while sons Mathew and Daniel, and daughter Hannah, will continue in their respective roles as Product Director, Commercial Director and Head of Trade Sales. Helen Grace will continue as Director of Marketing and Communications.
Graham said: “It’s a real pleasure to announce Ed’s promotion to the role of MD. He is Simpson Travel through and through, with a deep understanding of the expectations of our clients and what makes a Simpson holiday so special.
“I am delighted that RCP are joining the team. There is no doubt their backing presents an exciting prospect. They are as passionate as I am about the future of Simpson Travel and I know that our founding principles will remain at the heart of the business.
