Chloe was just beginning her career in travel as an apprentice at Westoe Travel in South Shields when she died in the attack, on 22 May 2017, along with Liam.

Almost 200 businesses, schools and organisations in South Shields have signed up to take part in events on the day to to raise money for The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust.

Businesses will be decorating their windows in pink and blue and residents in the town will be wearing pink or blue wristbands.

Westoe Travel Director Graeme Brett said: “It is hard to believe that it is six years since this tragic event took the lives of this beautiful young couple.

“The legacy carried on through the amazing work of their families, through the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, which has so far supported over 1,200 young people to help them reach their potential in sport and performance.”
