St Kitts Tourism Authority is planning to boost its travel trade activity following the appointment of sales and marketing representation agency, Silva.
Headed up by Silva Director Suzy Trott, the plans include leading agent training sessions, representing St Kitts at UK events and organising two fam trips to the island later this year.
St Kitts said the appointment is part of its ongoing strategy to ‘increase destination visibility among travel agents’ and grow arrivals from the UK.
CEO Ellison Thompson said: “Travel agents are crucial to the success of St Kitts as a tourism destination and to have a Caribbean specialist of Suzy’s calibre to deliver destination training, roadshows and fams to the market’s key travel agent partners is really going to enhance our efforts in this market.
“We ended 2023 with monthly arrivals from the UK up by an average of 38%, versus 2022, and we’re excited to build on that in 2024.”
