A teenage boy has tragically died after falling from his skateboard at Center Parcs’ Woburn Forest site.

The incident happened on 26 October at the Bedfordshire holiday park, and the teenager was rushed to hospital for treatment, but sadly passed away.

A spokesperson for Center Parcs said: “It is with great sadness that we confirm, following an incident at Center Parcs Woburn Forest, a guest tragically passed away last week.

“This is a distressing time and our thoughts are with their family and friends. At this time we are also supporting colleagues who assisted the emergency services and express our gratitude to both.”

East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) were called to reports that a teenage boy had fallen off his skateboard just before 4pm on the day of the incident.

In a statement EEAS said: “An ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle and a response car from the air ambulance were sent to the scene. The boy was transported by road to Bedford Hospital South Wing for treatment.”

The tragedy comes just a month after the death of a female member of staff also at the Woburn Forest site. An investigation has been launched after a woman in her 60s died after being hit by a car on 22 September.
