Meet our Customer Information team

ABTA's Customer Information team

The team reports to Charles Fachiri Senior Customer Information Manager and a qualified mediator. Charles started his career in travel in 1987 when he worked for Sunmed Holiday in the overseas operations office in Turkey and upon his return to the UK within the reservations and customer relations departments. He later moved on to work for Cosmos within the same field of customer relations, where he inspected hotels and followed up on complaints in destination. Charles then moved into the cruise sector where he worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

Customer Information Manager Sarah Buckley joined ABTA having worked for various tour operators in different departments, varying from customer support to health & safety in hotels. Sarah is responsible for managing the dedicated Customer Information team and providing a high level of service to both ABTA Members and their customers and is a qualified mediator.

Three Customer Information Advisers complete the team. Tanya Nzanza who previously worked in the education sector, both in admin roles and directly with pupils. Tanya works on the online dispute resolution portal, liaising with members and customers to assist them reach a resolution and recently qualified as a mediator. She also answers customer and member calls, giving out advice on any questions or queries they may have.

After graduating from De Montfort University. Larna Jinadu started her career in travel at ABTA having the necessary skills to take on the Customer Information Adviser role. Prior to working at ABTA, she was a receptionist at Savills, with responsibility for administrative tasks and gaining invaluable experience of face to face interaction with the public.

Lin Ellingham has a hybrid role as a Customer Information Adviser and Member Support Executive. At college she studied languages and gained the Association of British Tour Operators Certificate. Following college she worked at Cosmos Holidays as a Database Administrator and for a number of years as a manager at Short Breaks Ltd.
