Emergency teams met a British Airways flight at London Heathrow Airport on Sunday after there were reports of ‘unknown fumes’ detected on the aircraft.

Ambulance crew assessed multiple passengers onboard flight BA475, which had landed at T5 from Barcelona at 4.13pm.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service told The Mirror that three patients were treated at the scene and later discharged.

A chemical team from the London Fire Bridge carried out a sweep of the Airbus A320, but a spokesperson said there were no elevated readings onboard.
