Globus has restructured its trade-facing sales team with three new appointments and two internal promotions.
AmaWaterways Business Development Manager Jayne Lambert has joined Globus as Key Account Manager, overseeing and developing national accounts and consortia at head office level for touring brands Cosmos and Globus.
Premier Holidays Sales and BDM Karen Milward is joining at the end of the month as BDM for the south and Ambassador Cruise Line BDM Ryan Readman has been taken on as BDM for the north.
Two internal appointments see Cosmos BDM Kelly Calver become Key Account Manager for Avalon Waterways, with a similar remit to Jayne, as well as supporting specialist cruise agencies, and Office Manager and Executive Assistant Sarah Makewell becomes Inside Sales Support, with responsibility for all of Globus’ agency sales activity including agent events, fam trips and incentives.
UK Sales Director Phil Shipman said: “This new trade team is all about giving agents exactly what they need across the different sectors of touring and cruising.
“Splitting our head office account management into touring and river gives both Kelly and Jayne the opportunity to focus and really drive sales in their respective fields, whilst Karen and Ryan will capitalise on their high street relationships to support agents in selling our brands when out on the road.”
The new trade team announcements come as the Globus brands also announce details of the new products, including the new Douro and Bordeaux routes with Avalon Waterways and a range of tours available across Cosmos Tours and Globus Journeys.
Last week Avalon Waterways christened its new 102-passenger Avalon Alegria, which has been built exclusively to sail the Douro River and is the company’s first suite ship to sail in Portugal.
A new travel agent training portal will launch this summer and fam trips and incentives are planned across Avalon Waterways, Cosmos Tours, and Globus Journeys.
Meanwhile, Premier Holidays has announced Nicky Bird will replace Karen as its new BDM.
