Travel Counsellors has seen an increase of nearly 70% in business travel bookings year on year.
It says the rise is due in part to a rise in the number of corporates looking to extend their trips for leisure.
Companies are also looking to cut costs by using a travel agent, it said.
The homeworking group took £85 million in corporate transactions from November 2022 to the end of March 2023.
During that period, it attracted 418 new accounts to give it a total of 1,558 in March.
March sales rose 37% to £19.9m, it said.
MD of Corporate Travel Kieran Hartwell said: “There has been a shift in corporate travel perception, while companies previously opted for an online service to book trips, the rise in air fares for one has made procurement teams re-evaluate their booking processes and many are now opting for that bespoke touch again in order to help manage costs.
“We have the ability to offer a high touch, personalised service with the value of the online market through our in-house technology platform, Phenix.
“These strong results are a reflection of the trusted travel advice that our Travel Counsellors give to their corporate clients, as well as the advantages of more of our corporate entrepreneurs working in micro teams using our TC Teams technology, which enables them to provide round the clock outstanding personal service to their clients.”
The number of Travel Counsellors booking corporate travel has risen to 342 in the UK and 504 globally.
