Travelopia to sell off brands including Citalia and Sovereign

Travelopia is looking for buyers for several brands in its portfolio, including Citalia and Sovereign.

The travel group has also put its American Holidays, Experience Education, YMT Vacations and Sawadee brands on sale.

It has already sold two companies in the group. MyPlanet was sold to Scandinavian tour operator Kilroy Group at the end of last month and Gullivers Sports Travel & Events was sold to Keith Prowse on Wednesday (16 October).

Selling the brands will leave Travelopia with Enchanting Travels, Europe Express, Exodus Group, Le Boat, Quark Expeditions, TCS World Travel, The Moorings & Sunsail and Kalos Golf.

Chief Executive Andy Duncan said: “With even more focus as a group going forwards, we have exciting plans for continued growth as the world’s leading experiential travel company, enriching lives through travel.”

The group has made a number of leadership changes, with Exodus Managing Director Sam Seward moving to Quark Expeditions, where he will replace President Andrew White, who is to retire at the end of this year.

Travelopia Chief Customer Officer Sally Cowdry will take over responsibility for Exodus Group.

Paul Brousseau will become Chief Sales Officer for the group, in addition to his current role as Quark Expeditions Chief Customer Officer.
