TUI has confirmed that its first of six hotels in China will be the TUI BLUE Fuyang in Anhui province, which is most famous for the scenic Huangshan Mountains.

With the expansion of its hotel business into Asia, TUI is hoping to attract new guests from the region to its hotel brands worldwide.

In addition to the TUI BLUE Fuyang, TUI is planning to open hotels in major Chinese cities, including Shanghai, other rural areas, and in China’s popular beach resort, Hainan.

It also has hotels in the pipeline in Bali, Cambodia and Vietnam.

In a statement on its website, TUI said the six planned China hotels will open gradually over the next three years.

“Against the background of our hotel growth, a delegation from the Chinese province of Anhui visited the new TUI campus in Hanover this week,” it added. “In conversation with the Secretary of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee Han Jun, the TUI management team got an imporession of the region’s enormous potential.”

The TUI BLUE Fuyang is due to open in the winter of 2025/26.
