TUI has insisted that clients flying to Goa with e-visas this winter will be allowed to enter India at its new international airport.

The operator has moved its flights from Goa’s Dabolim international airport to the new Manohar International Airport from this November.

Since the Foreign Office confirmed yesterday that Manohar does not accept e-visas, agents have been concerned clients will have to rush to obtain paper visas, or risk being turned away or fined on arrival.

However, TUI told Travel Gossip in a statement that it expects Manohar to accept e-visas by November.

It said: “We would like to reassure customers and independent agents that we expect Manohar International Airport to receive e-visa certification in the coming weeks and will therefore not impact holidaymakers.

“Should customers require any documentation we will inform agents and our customers immediately, but do not currently anticipate this to be an issue for any present or future customers travelling with TUI Airways from November.”
