Comedian Russell Kane is fronting a new TUI travel podcast series with celebrity guests.
The ‘Pack Your Bags’ podcast starts today (12 April) and will invite guests, including Olympic athletics champion Greg Rutherford, historian Bettany Hughes and TV personality Dr Zoe Williams, to share their travel stories.
Russell already has two successful podcasts, Man Baggage and BBC Radio 4’s Evil Genius, and is a regular on Channel 4, BBC and ITV, according to his website.
Russell’s latest podcast series, which includes 10 40-minute episodes, is aimed at attracting new customers to TUI, by ‘having an engaging presence in an unexpected space’.
In each episode Russell asks guests to bring along their three ‘must-pack’ travel items.
TUI Chief Marketing Officer Katie McAlister said: “We are always looking for innovative ways to engage with our audience.
“We couldn’t be more excited for people to start listening. We know they’ll be more inspired than ever to pack their bags, and create their own life enriching moments.”
She added: “Travel podcasting has vast potential for growth – there’s a gap in the market, and we’re very excited to be showing up in this space.”
The episodes are available on the Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify platforms.
