TUI is moving its flights to Goa to the Indian state’s new international airport.

From this winter, its flights from the UK will land at Manohar International Airport in Mopa in the north instead of at Goa International Airport in the south.

Manohar (airport code GOX), which opened in January, is 50kms inland and north of Goa International Airport (GOI) at Dabolim, which is on the coast.

TUI said it was in the process of moving customers to the new flights and cancelling the old GOI flights. The new flights will operate on the same days, with some ‘small timing changes’, it said.

A spokesperson said the switch would have a ‘minor impact’ on transfer times, with the new airport further away from some hotels but closer to others.
