TUI will unveil its new upmarket brand in Tanzania with the opening of The Mora Zanzibar this summer.
The all-inclusive 250-suite hotel at Muyuni Beach is one of eight new properties planned by TUI in sub-Saharan Africa.
Other TUI hotels are being planned in Cape Verde, The Gambia, Senegal and Kenya.
TUI said the new The Mora brand will offer ‘laid-back, contemporary luxury with highly tailored and flexible service’.
The travel giant is also planning to open its first TUI BLUE hotel in Kenya, the 117-room TUI BLUE Watamu.
It said it is also looking for further franchise opportunities, with the focus in East Africa on key destinations such as Mauritius, Tanzania and Kenya.
