Turkey saw a 17% increase in the number of Brits visiting Turkey during the first nine months of 2024.

From January to the end of September, the country recorded 49.2 million visitors from around the world, a 9% increase year on year.

Of these, 3.7 million visitors were from the UK, one of its top three source markets.

There were also ‘strong’ increases from Russia and Germany, with arrivals up 6% from both in the first nine months of the year.

Turkey has increased its year-end target to 61 million arrivals, and said it expects to end 2024 with ‘unprecedented growth’ across key markets.

Visitor spend so far this year has risen 7% to £38.7 billion, with an average daily spend per visitor of £88.
