Viking will have six new itineraries in Asia in 2025, exploring Japan, China and Tibet.

The new cruises range from 15 to 22 days and explore iconic destinations in China, including Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an, Lhasa in Tibet (Xizang), and Osaka in Japan.

The itineraries, operating from September to November 2025, will visit ‘rarely-seen’ destinations and ports in China, to which only Viking has access.

Guests will sail on the Viking Yi Dun, formerly the Viking Sun.

“We are proud to open our second season of these unique itineraries featuring exploration of the China coast—something that is entirely exclusive to Viking,” said Chairman and CEO Torstein Hagen.

Among the new cruises for 2025 is a 15-day Bejing to Tokyo Jewels of Japan & China cruise, a 20-day Hong Kong to Beijing voyage and a 22-day round trip Gems of China and Japan from Beijing, which includes Tibet.

Viking is also offering a variety of pre- and post-cruise excursions in Beijing, Hong Kong, Guilin, Tokyo and Mongolia.
