Virgin Atlantic has confirmed in a message on its website that it won’t resume flights to Israel until September.

The message said: “Due to the ongoing situation in Israel, we have taken the difficult decision to extend our pause on flying to and from Tel Aviv up to and including 4 September 2024.

“The safety and security of our customers and our people are our number one priority and our flying programme to Israel remains under constant review.”

Travel Gossip reported last week that Virgin had no Tel Aviv departures available on its website until 6 September.

Meanwhile, British Airways has said it will resume flights between London and Tel Aviv on 1 April, but with a much-reduced service.

EasyJet had departures to Tel Aviv available from 17 March last week, but the re-launch date appears to have been pushed back to 24 March.
