Virgin Atlantic Holidays is considering reopening more of the stores it closed during the pandemic as clients return to its St Albans retail outlet, which reopened earlier this month.
It currently has 39 shops compared to 57 pre-COVID.
Virgin said its St Albans ‘retail concept store’, which was closed for three years, ‘allows visitors to fully immerse themselves and interact with the travel company’s extensive list of destinations’.
Clients will be welcomed through to the sunset bar and offered coffee or champagne, along with snacks representing each destination. There’s also a dedicated children’s area towards the back of store, with activity books, colouring and televisions with Disney shows and films available.
A Virgin spokesperson said: “We’re excited to have reopened St Albans and are reviewing our options in other locations, as we look to expand our V-Room presence in key geographic areas for Virgin Atlantic Holidays.
“We are continually focused on understanding how customers wish to interact with us today and in the future. Consequently, we have invested in a virtual sales team, who offer our retail experience via video call to customers who are looking for our personalised service from the comfort of their own homes.
“This is in addition to our easy-to-use website, complemented by our experienced sales team who are available over the phone.”
