Virgin Voyages is planning a series of ship visits for travel agents when Resilient Lady sails out of Portsmouth next summer.
The ex-UK cruises next August and September went on sale today (Mon 11 September) and Field Sales Manager Jenny Lyons said they’ve been ‘exceptionally popular’.
Speaking at Travel Gossip’s New to Cruise Bootcamp, Jenny said Virgin Voyages will ‘definitely’ showcase its third ship to agents while she’s here.
“When we first launched Scarlet Lady from Portsmouth [in 2021] we couldn’t really do ship visits at the time because we were literally in the throws of COVID still, but once we bring Resilient Lady to Portsmouth in August 2024 we are definitely doing ship visits because we know that works.
“When we had Valiant Lady in Liverpool and Dover in March 2021 we did two ship visit days and they were really successful. Without question we will be doing that again.”
Virgin is offering a series of four- to six-night cruises from Portsmouth from mid-August 2024.
