The website for day visitors to Venice on the dates the city’s new €5 entry fee is payable has gone live.

The €5 Venice Access Fee must be paid on certain days from 25 April 25 to 5 May 2024 and on weekends in May, June and July, from 8:30am to 4pm. The fee applies to visitors to the Old City and not the islands.

Once the fee is paid, the visitor will receive a QR code to present on arrival at Venice.

The charge only applies to day visitors on applicable dates. Overnight travellers already pay a tourist tax of between €1 and €5 per person per night for up to the first five days.

Visitors can pre-pay the day entry fee here.
